Pete is the founder and President of Kirchhof Group, Inc. providing professional
consulting services to clients needing assistance with public affairs and business
development. His professional and volunteer experience has provided Pete with established
business and community contacts to help clients get connected to achieve their goals.
Served as Interim President and CEO of the Credit Union Associations of Colorado
and Wyoming from June 2010 to December 2010. He has hands-on business experience
as the managing owner of Kirchhof Family Enterprises, LLC which operates a retail
center in Glendale, Colorado.

|
Responsible for government affairs programs and executive management for the Credit
Union Associations of Colorado and Wyoming, representing 160 credit unions, 4,500
employees, 900 board members and 1.7 million members. Primary responsibilities:
state and federal legislative/regulatory affairs, grassroots advocacy management,
political/campaign programs and relationship development with local, state and federal
elected officials and their staff. In 2005 passed legislation in Wyoming to increase
cap for small claims court and a resolution supporting financial education in schools.
In 2006 passed legislation in Colorado to accelerate timing of motor vehicle lien
perfection to avoid losses through bankruptcy filings. In 2007 passed legislation
to allow credit unions and banks to sell their repossessed motor vehicles without
having a dealer license and additional regulation. Monitored, analyzed, amended
and defeated numerous other related bills. Supervised Association General Counsel
on all legislative, regulatory and policy matters. Planned and implemented member
events in Colorado, Wyoming and Washington, DC. As a member of the executive management
team, provided strategic direction and management of all association functions including
membership, human resources, finance, legal, business development and foundation.

Over several legislative sessions successfully passed, amended or defeated legislation
impacting economic, operational and regulatory requirements on the company allowing
them to better serve customers. Secured support from Colorado congressional delegation,
state legislators, local government officials and business organizations for Federal
Communications Commission approval to provide interstate long distance service.
Successfully negotiated rights-of-way and cable franchise agreements with local
governments. Represented U S WEST for eight years on regulatory matters before the
Colorado Public Utilities Commission.
